Fujifilm X-Pro1, travelling light! (or why I’m a Fuji convert)

I’ve recently bought a full X-Pro1 kit, and I find I’m using it a lot more than the Nikon kit that I’ve been steadily building over the years.

They say the best camera you can have is the one that you’ve got with you. This sure applies here.

Let me explain. This is all about logistics, getting from A to B, getting around, being mobile, you get the gist. The DSLR kits are just too heavy!

There’s no knocking their image quality and they’re adaptable, but the Fuji’s just there. With me all the time.  Its image quality is superb, it’s up there with the best.

Here’s the Fujifilm X-Pro1 kit

Here it is in its bag, Lowepro Event Messenger 150

weighing in at 1.9 kilos (4lbs) 12” x 10” 4”

The Nikon Kit

Nikon D3S and three lenses - (16/35, 24/70/, 70/200) in a bag weighs in at 6.6 kilos, that’s over a stone! 14lbs+.

Lowepro Pro Messenger 180 AW (12”x 12” x 8”), really nice bag

So it’s horses for courses. if I’m traveling, I’m traveling light and its the X-Pro1 that’ll be with me most of the time.
